In the recent developments following the serial killer known as "The Devil Doctor," detectives have deduced that the unknown suspect has already achieved a "copycat" killer. The definition of copycat crime is "a criminal act that is modeled after or inspired by a previous crime." The reasoning behind this is solidified by the most recent attacks by The Devil Doctor.

A local branch of ThavenGroup, a clinic best known for their therapy practices, was broken into late this Saturday. Officers responded early last Sunday morning when they were alerted by a cleaning company that had been scheduled to work that day. Upon arriving at the scene, officers located 3 deceased-- Dr. Katie Levun, Dr. Aaron Fjord, and Dr. Ulysses Brown-- and 2 injured victims-- Marsha P. Vargate and Kevin Foster.

In an exclusive piece, Your Town Daily has met with Ms. Vargate for her side of the events that transpired. Vargate, who works at ThavenGroup as a bookkeeper-secretary, shares that the silent alarm was tripped and reset by manager Dr. Luvun. According to her, Dr. Levun frequently tripped the silent alarm: "She was always forgetting whether she set it or not, and just kept blowing past it everyday. It was a real annoyance having to deep with the fines from responding officers," Vargate told Your Town Daily.

"So she went back to reset it and she didn't come back for awhile. I just kind of assumed she was busy texting. So I kept working. Then I heard a couple of weird noises, but I was sort of scared to check, so I called over our intern, Kevin. Kevin and I went to check, and we found this person standing there-- With black hair, and really weird blue eyes; lots of freckles. I couldn't tell if it was a girl or a boy, but they were...." Vargate took a moment to wipe her tears away, and we took a recess before continuing the interview.

"There was so much blood. I didn't know people bled that much-- She was dead. And so was Dr. Brown. They used a knife, and it was-- everywhere. They were in the middle of doing that to Dr. Fjord, so Kevin-- he was really brave, he rushed at them, and they cut him, but he got a few good kicks in, and even nailed them with a screwdriver, right in their side. But they wrestled him down and choked him. I was so scared, I ran to call the cops, but by the time I got to the phone, they cut the power. So I hid like a coward, and I didn't come out until the cleaning crew arrived the next day. I felt so awful that Kevin could have died, but what could I do?" Ms. Vargate takes a moment to compose herself. "I'm just one person."

Investigators agree that the style of murder and the pattern indicate that this is "The Devil Doctor." However, a similar attack was carried out earlier this week, that led detectives to deduce the possibility of a copycat.

Bells & Thistles is an apothecary shop within Poppyfield Mall on Bad and Down Avenue, up on the 32nd floor. This quaint store has reported many a natural home remedy for any illness, no magic nor chemicals required.  However, they closed this last Wednesday after a late-night break in.

Local forces arrived on the scene of Bells & Thistles after the store's alarm was tripped at 3:45 AM ZPST. 2 deceased - "Doctor" Helen Elliot and Front Deskman Lloyd Ladd-Othello, were found within the apothecary shop, each stabbed and gutted mercilessly from collarbone to pelvis. Coroners reported that the stabs and cuts were brutal and rough, leaving tears in the skin.

"See, that's why we're thinkin it's someone else." reported Detective Thomas Heere. "'Nother secretary, and 'nother really rough stabbin'. Could excuse the first one when there's maybe reasonings to the differences, but now with these discrepancies... We're not sure anymore. Especially with no sightings of what this figure looks like."

Local law enforcement also did not allow us to view the crime scene. "Some stuff's gotta keep quiet if we wanna get 'em. Sorry kiddos."

Recently, Bells & Thistles came under fire, as many of their proported remedies seem to have no basis in any form of medical practice, along with Helen Elliot's suspension of medical license after revealing patient information on a medical forum to get them blacklisted from local establishments. "Warning for doctors! [CENSORED] is drug-seeking, don't let them get you!"

"[Bells and Thistles] will recommend mercury and tin for anything. Anything! Wanna know what happens if y'give people mercury and tin for a rash? You wanna guess?" decried one anonymous informant. "I'm surprised that sh*t survived for as long as it did!"

ThavenGroup is known for exuberant prices, catering to an upper class clientele despite their claims to be open to all patients. They have been in recent media for allegations about violating HIPAA & patient-doctor confidentiality. Most notably, they recently settled a court case involving a therapist selling their session recordings to the prosecutor's family. 

Local Law Enforcement found themselves alarmed this Sunday Night as The Devil Doctor attacked two different clinics. 

Police were first alerted by a call from EliteCare Medical Group early within the night. Dr. Marsha Hermione had been locking up her own personal office, when she saw a “man or woman, freckled, with dark black hair and blue eyes” in the corner. Recognizing the danger she was in, she was able to lock herself in her office and call the authorities from there.

“There’s screaming- there’s so-so much screaming.” Whimpered the terrified doctor into the phone. “God please, Bahamut, please, anyone- please save me!” 

The police arrived with guns drawn- yet no suspect in sight. Instead Law Enforcement arrived on scene to three dead, lined up in a row in a familiar modus operandi by the serial killer. Organs each meticulously cut. Names have not been released to the public, but all three were doctors. What law enforcement didn’t expect was another alarm to be tripped later into the night. Another FyreRip, this one nearby EliteCare Medical Group. Law enforcement found two dead and lined up in a row within the FyreRip. Names have not been released, but, police have confirmed that one was a secretary, andthe other was a doctor. Coroners found that the cuts were much more ragged and forceful- tearing the flesh of the victims upon being stabbed. Cameras did not manage to catch recording of the suspect, and with no surviving witnesses, the exacts of what happened are still up to speculation. Especially as the doors were still locked when authorities arrived on the scene. “We think uh. Killer was pretty mad about that one doc lady locking up in the office. So got sloppier- messier. Didn’t care as much to uh. Keep to the M.O.”Detective Calthone reported. “Means there might be a way to get to em. Draw em out.” EliteCare Medical Group have been accused in the past of selling patient information online- although court proceedings ground to a halt after a key eyewitness tragically passed this February. HuntraCorp continues to try to navigate the outrage, especially as patients now ask, are they even safe within Fyrerips? 

In an attack that has left the public horrified, a clinic located in a downtown pier was targeted as the third in a series of gruesome murders. The suspect, which the public has nicknamed 'The Devil Doctor,' has allegedly killed 7 ripperdocs at the FyreRip, a chain office that is owned by HuntraCorp Medicine. Officers were alerted on scene by passing tourists early this afternoon when they noticed a second-story window was broken, and the office had not opened yet for the day. Upon arrival, local law enforcement found 7 deceased laid out in "neat, grotesque lines, like the fucker was just waiting for us to find their work," Chadwick Brasley, the lead sheriff on the scene, reports. Similar to the previous attacks, the victims were left with fatal stabbings to every major organ, mirroring each other's wounds. Officers also noted that their medical badges had been removed and were hanging in the inner doorway, coated in blood. The list of names of the deceased have yet to be released to the public. [EDIT: As of this evening, the ripperdocs have been identified as Dr. Harley Kelsey, Dr. Willy Emsworth, Dr. Leslie Norton, Dr. Taylor Paddle, Dr. Maisy Hamilton, Dr. Ava Snowdon, and Dr. Grace Lee.] Officers did discover two injured victims, tied up in the locked pharmaceutical closet. Upon recovery at the local hospital, secretaries June Fairland and Kim Lee Chang were found to be in good health. Both have identified being assaulted by a "black haired, blue eyed person, with freckles," matching the previous logs of the attacks. Officers are urging the public to remain vigilant, and that nearby medical facilities of any kind increase security and have doctors travel in groups.

HuntraCorp is still under public scrutiny due to claims of them using second-hand materials in their FyreRips across cities, carrying viruses and diseases and overcharging for these poor quality implants. YourTownDaily has reached out to HuntraCorp for comment, but we have received no response.

Tragedy has struck the public once more. Police responded to a tripped alarm at a local medical facility early this Friday morning, where they arrived at the scene of Fairview Dialysis. Officers entered the building only to find 3 deceased upon arrival, and later discovered 2 injured tied up in the building's bathroom. Danica Cove and Lawrence Bend, janitors at Fairview, both stated that they had been carrying out closing duties for the office that evening when they discovered the backdoor had been opened. Upon investigating, Bend was attacked first by a "woman or man, I couldn't tell... they had blue eyes and black hair, and a bunch of freckles." Cove and Bend both recall that the suspect choked him until he was unconscious. Cove attempted to fend off the intruder with a broom, but she stated they shoved her back, and hit her with a handle of a knife or machete, knocking her unconscious too. Forensic experts believe the suspect then tied both up with IV tubing, and left them in the storage room, before moving onto the doctors left in the building. Similar to the attacks at Cooke Medical, the suspect again targeted a major organs or blood vessels in the body on all three deceased, leaving them to be discovered in a pool of blood. Dr. Henry Umbral, Dr. Markus Price, and Dr. Thomas Yoon were identified later by police. Surviving them are two wives, Mrs. Darla Umbral and Mrs. Marsha Price-Yang. "I hope whoever that sick person is gets what coming to them," Price-Yang told our team. "My husband was a good man and when the police find them, we'll get our justice." Officers are recommending local medical offices increase security, due to the nature of these attacks bearing similar patterns of targets.

Fairview Dialysis was recently involved in a class-action lawsuit regarding the overcharging and embezzlement of funds of their patients, many of whom were on fixed incomes. The case was dropped in the last 3 months, and many of those involved in petitioning for the case to be reopened claim that the judge was bribed under the table, and demand to be heard once more, regardless of the recent tragedy.

On Tuesday morning, Police were alerted to the scene of Cooke Medical Offices following a bystander report that indicated a break-in had occured. Upon arrival, officers found four deceased and one injured victim. According to Office Derek Gleans, he stated that he "had never seen such a horrifying room in all [his] years of work." Officers were greeted by the bodies of Dr. Erica Cooke, Dr. Matthew Ramuss, Dr. Ann Polk, and Dr. Johannes Bauer. All four doctors were found in an "excessive pool of blood, with at least 30 identical stab wounds to various points along their bodies." According to the autopsy reports, every puncture targeted a major organ or blood vessel in the body various times. Reportedly, the victims succumbed to blood loss, and each were missing their medical ID badge. The only surviving victim suffered minor injuries, including bruising to the neck. Amanda Yun stated she had been carrying out closing duties for the night, when she heard glass breaking. She investigated the sound, and was ambushed by a "tall person of undeterminate gender, with blue eyes, black hair, and freckles." The assailant choked Amanda until she lost conciousness, and carried out the murders of the four doctors. Surviving the deceased is one wife, and one boyfriend, who have chosen to remain anonymous, and urge the public to come forward if they have any further news or information on the identity of the killer.

"Please... I just want to see justice. For Erica."

Cooke Medical had been under some scrutiny in the recent months, following their decision to only cater to patients who met a high income threshold, and there had been some recent protests and petitions to force the private practice to reopen their doors to the less fortunate. Police have made no comments on whether protestors have been considered as suspects or not; however, officers have urged local residents to limit themselves to a self-imposed curfew and travel in groups.
